Working Together to Future-Proof Today's Networks

      Cabling Solutions

Optimally Tuned Category 6 Performance

The combined engineering expertise represented by Hubbell Premise Wiring and Mohawk/CDT has produced the industry's preeminent performance in UTP cabling systems.

Designed as an optimally balanced system that includes NEXTSPEED 670 jacks, patch panels, patch cords, and AdvanceNET horizontal cable, the SureBIT 6AN System delivers channel performance that exceeds all proposed Category 6 channel requirements. This system provides a margin of headroom

for each measurement parameter over the TIA/EIA Category 6, draft 5 and ISO/IEC Class E pending standards.

Industry benchmarks for passive transmission performance such as NEXT and Attenuation (shown below), including all new parameters such as PSNEXT, ELFEXT, PSELFEXT and Return Loss all exceed the proposed Category 6 link and channel performance parameters.

Plus, all NEXTSPEED 670 components are backward compatible with our Category 5 and 5e products.

Active/Live Testing - Error-Free Gigabit Ethernet Proof-of-Performance

The desire to migrate business critical networks to Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet has prompted many IT managers to seek information that evaluates the impact of cabling system performance in a real-world networked environment.

Hubbell commissioned The Tolly Group to conduct an independent performance assessment of Hubbell and Mohawk's end-to-end integrated SureBIT6AN cabling system in a networked environment. The project confirmed that SureBIT6AN delivers error-free Gigabit Ethernet transmission compliant to IEEE 802.3ab requirements. The Tolly Group is the Networking lndustry's premier independent test lab for active testing.

Passive Testing - Absolute Performance

Worst Case Test Configuration - ETL Verified

In addition to completing third party testing that assesses the impact of structured cabling system performance in an active network, the SureBIT system was verified to exceed the latest pending Category 6 link and channel passive performance requirements by ETL. SureBIT6AN test results shown in this document are based on a four connector channel that includes a NEXTSPEED 670 jack, two NEXTSPEED 670 patch panels, a Hubbell 110 block, three NEXTSPEED 670 patch cords (totaling 10 meters) and 90 meters of AdvanceNetCategory 6 horizontal cable.
