Modular ICS enhances the current Norstar feature complement with the following:

Automatic Route Selection

automatically selects the most economic long-distance route for calls, based on the time of the call and the digits dialed
manual route selection is available
overflow routing can be assigned for busy routes - a warning tone signals the route is not the most cost-effective

Now you can be sure that every call made is made the most economical way possible.

Incoming Line Groups

groups lines under one retrieval button with a maximum of 15 groups per system
once retrieved calls can be handled normally using hold, transfer and forward functions.

This feature leaves programmable buttons free for other functions, like autodialing.

External Calls On Intercom

internal and external calls can be initiated or received through a single intercom button.

Saves one button for another programmable feature, increasing the functions of the deskset.

Alternate Restrictions

much more flexibility on when and how restrictions can be placed on outgoing calling
restrict calls according to digits dialed by time of day and day of week, including weekends or holidays
place restrictions on the lines, sets and remote access
modes can be assigned automatically or manually

Eliminating the cost of unauthorized calls is now more efficient and more flexible.

Coordinated Dialing Plan

allows dialing within multi-site businesses, such as branch offices, as if the numbers were on-site

a line pool is intelligently selected and additional digits are automatically inserted to complete calls over a public or private network

Makes keeping in day-to-day contact with other groups or branches faster and easier.

Network Direct Dial

Users can dial any other specific user by dialing just one keypad digit
the other user's network can be internal or external
Up to five keypad digits can be assigned and utilized this way

This increases the functionality of the deskset, by saving up to five programmable buttons for other users.
